Gone are the days of keeping wine in a dark, dusty vault. “Storage is taking a more prominent place in homes these days,” says Andee Hess of Osmose Design, who devised the sleek, mirrored cellar above, which is situated off the kitchen in a Portland, Oregon, condo. “Our clients wanted to be able to easily rotate and pull the bottles.” For large collections, Hess recommends linear shelving that allows bottles of varying sizes to be stored on their sides with labels facing out.
