A few months ago, we wondered whether Asus had made the best monitor ever, owing to the performance of its 49-inch, ‘SuperWide’ QD-OLED PG49WC gaming monitor. Now here’s, what looks like, its smaller, 34-inch, more-affordable sibling. But, are the looks deceptive?
The first thing to note is that the PG34WCDM uses a traditional OLED panel instead of the new-fangled QD-OLED. It’s noticeably less bright and colours don’t pop as much as its sibling, but virtually nothing else does either. Any ultrawide, curved (800R), OLED gaming monitor should still be highly desirable.
