SO, ROD licence sales are down, again. In the modern world there’s more choice, less time, and everything is going up in price. “Stuff”, whatever it is, has to be quick, easy, convenient and cost-effective. Not necessarily cheap, but certainly good value for money.
Angling already ticks a few of those boxes. Club tickets are generally good value. Basic kit is pretty decent and doesn’t cost that much, and a day’s fishing on a commercial for less than a tenner can’t be knocked. So why is there a problem?
