Paul Smith’s College was hosting the seventy-first Annual Spring Meet Woodmen’s Conclave, the Super Bowl of collegiate timber sports. Teams from fifteen northeast colleges and universities participated.
Competition began on a Friday morning with President Cathy Dove and Provost Nicholas Hunt-Bull taking the first cut. Two days of events ensued, with athletes performing amid the sounds of buzzing saws, whacking axes, clomping tree spurs, loud cheers, and ever-dreaded splashes.
