For the past seven years, I’ve had the time of my life editing Woman, but this is my final Editor’s letter. I’ve loved talking to you through the pages of the magazine and reading your letters and emails. I’m sad to be leaving you and my talented team, several of whom are also heading off in new directions, but I’m excited about the future. ‘I STOPPED FEELING HUNGRY’ Some people put on weight comfort eating, others because they never feel full. But, for me, the reason came in 2001 when, aged 30, I was diagnosed with ME – also known as chronic fatigue syndrome. I went from being active, walking miles and going to the gym to struggling to get off the sofa. I’ve got a rash on my body Q A few days ago, I felt unwell with what I thought was a cold but then I noticed a rash on my tummy. It started with a red, oval shaped patch, which felt rough. Now, my whole back is covered with smaller spots. What’s going on? A I think this could be a condition called pityriasis rosea, the cause of which is currently unknown. It starts with what’s called a ‘herald patch’ – like the first spot you described – and is followed, a few days later, by lots of smaller spots which often cover the chest, tummy and back.
