Between them, Brisbane-based sisters Cate and Bronte Campbell boast six gold, one silver and four bronze Olympic medals. While having one person in the family with so much athletic ability is pretty rare, two is miraculous. Today, Cate, 29, and Bronte, 27, don’t think they would’ve reached such dizzying heights of success without each other.
“I think we both believe that we wouldn’t be the athletes we are today without the other one,” Bronte tells WHO. “At times in my life, I’ve been the second-fastest swimmer in the world, but also just the second-fastest in my family. While there were times that were really hard, if I didn’t have Cate to push myself against and guide me, I don’t even know if I’d have been in the pool at all!”…
