Having spoken to Dean Jones at length about this car, and having checked out all the videos about it on the Classic Car Revivals (CCR) YouTube channel, it’s clear this has been a lengthy and involved project. There are many reasons why you might want to restore an old VW Bus, but Corey Carter from Utah state, USA might have the most unusual one yet. He built this Bus just so he could start a new project. What we’ve shown you over the last two months in terms of head porting is about as far as we’d recommend you go at home. It’s by no means a full competition head job, but it’s enough to make a pair of stock VW head castings work better with a mild performance camshaft, dual carburettors and a decent extractor exhaust. At just 24 and 26, Loïc and Jérôme Lorphevre already have a long history in the Volkswagen world. The two brothers have been hanging around their parents’ VW shop in Belgium since they were able to walk.
