MATHIEU LEHANNEUR
Mathieu Lehanneur turns 50 in August, but the designer is reluctant to throw a party, or take time off. “You know, I’d really prefer to be where I am right now, in the Factory. I have no other hobbies,” he demurs from his offce in Paris. To say ‘design is his life’ would sound like a galling understatement. The youngest of seven children, Lehanneur was quiet, observant and contemplative rather than preternaturally creative.
