Piers Morgan, after the viewing figures for his new TV show plummeted, from 317,000 at the launch to 62,000 a week later. Morgan’s show is the flagship of Rupert Murdoch’s new channel, TalkTV, which has on occasion recorded zero prime-time viewers. On social media, Morgan insisted such figures don’t matter, particularly as young people “don’t really watch TV any more”.
King’s College, London, which had to abandon its plans to move to online-only classes in response to a student-led campaign. According to The Daily Telegraph, King’s is the first Russell Group university to return to pre-pandemic teaching methods. In the next academic year, it says it will not offer a “remote study option”, and students will be expected to be present on campus.…
