When he was 11, Nick Sheridan started a newspaper called The Daily Font. “If there were any missing pets in the local area, that would be front-page news for us,” Sheridan said, speaking to The Week Junior.
Although he thinks that the readership was only around 10 or 12 people, Sheridan says, “It was an enormous amount of fun.” Now Sheridan works for the BBC, and has just released a book called Breaking News. In the book, Sheridan tells readers how to avoid being tricked by fake news.
