World Day of Social Justice, marked annually on February 20, is a reminder of the need for the application of justice universally, towards everyone: within our families, in our communities, in our country, and globally.
It is a human right that everyone is treated equally and with dignity. Equality before the law, equal opportunity, and a more equitable management and distribution of wealth are requirements of both human rights and social justice.
Bahá’u’lláh, the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, states: “No light can compare with the light of justice. The establishment of order in the world and the tranquillity of the nations depend upon it”.
