SHE owes her life to a scrap collector who saved her from the clutches of would-be abductors, who forced her into a car, stabbing her in the face.
On Tuesday, just after 9am, mother of two, Mieshka Achmat, 25, from Parkwood, who usually takes transport to work in Diepriver, Cape Town, said she was forced to go by foot, after having taken her son to the health centre in the morning.
When Achmat arrived in Southfield, she found a car parked and walked past it.
The driver started the car and proceeded to follow behind her.
“I then walked into another road and ran and that’s when I realised I was in a dead end road and the car turned in that very same road,” she said.
