The Joburgers finished the regular season 12th in the standings, having won eight of their 18 matches, which included a 21-11 victory over the Dragons at the weekend, but also wins against Benetton, Edinburgh, Ospreys, Munster, Cardiff, the Stormers and Zebre. They should have arguably beaten Glasgow away last year but for a dubious try awarded against them, while they let triumph slip away against Connacht a few weeks ago.
The stated objective of this season was a top-10 finish, which they missed out on by four log points.…
