Old Johannesburg Warehouse Auctioneers will hold its biggest auction of the year over four days, from Thursday to Sunday next week, starting at 9am each day.
The auction starts with 465 lots from a private home, including boulle furniture; ceramics (Meissen, Royal Doulton, Moore’s Brothers, Sitzendorf, Huttschenreuter and more); chandeliers; Oriental, jade and ivory pieces and art.
On Friday, the sale begins with wine and spirits, from the likes of Kanonkop, Rust&Vrede, Meerlust, Klein Constantia, Dom Perignon and other champagnes, as well as cognacs and whiskeys.
Coming under the hammer on Saturday will be furniture including original, intricately carved Indonesian pieces; silver, including a large John Barnard centre piece; a selection of ceramics (Moorcroft, Royal Doulton); Boer War pieces; rare coins and notes; and books.
