ON Wednesday, my wife, 78, was admitted to Netcare Mulbarton Hospital with Covid-19 pneumonia.
Over the past many years, we have had many admissions from our family to various Netcare Units. The best, by far, are Union and The Clinton. Mulbarton has, unfortunately, been in a decline for a long period.
When I went to collect my wife on Tuesday, June 1, at 1.27pm, I found her in a wheelchair outside the hospital, when the temperature was 13°C. Not even a blanket on her!
Jacques Duplessis, a director of Netcare, told me on the telephone my wife had a nurse with her the whole time and she asked to go outside.
Would responsible nursing staff not advise a patient that this would not be a good idea?
Netcare, you need…
