We had our water incorrectly disconnected and the meter removed. So far, in all my dealings with Joburg Water and with the City of Joburg Ombudsman, I have not found anyone who can get anything done, or get any action out of the municipality.
The details are horrendous. Briefly they are: On December 5, 2016, we purchased the building for use as a storage for books. It has been locked since then. There is no one there, and there is no water consumption, nor any leaks.
The water is required just for the fire sprinklers as we store books, which is a major fire hazard in the absence of water to fight any fire.
We took transfer successfully, but on February 23, 2017, we started getting accounts, which we paid.…
