BR Reporter Business Report online MTN, AFRICA’S biggest mobile operator, has been appointed as a service provider to the SA government through its new mobile communication services contract, known as RT15-2021. The partnership is over a five-year term. The contract, the value of which was not disclosed, will come into effect tomorrow.
In a statement yesterday, the service provider said the RT15-2021 Transversal contract allowed for all entities of State to use the contract for mobile communication services, which would “further assist with cost containment”. The contract allows for unmetered, uncapped data, but personal voice and SMS bundles will be charged at a flat rate.
