“Here, come on into my office, I mean, my hallway.”
On this early morning in March, Mike Marshall, the 25-year-old sail designer from Jamestown, R.I., is hustling around North Sails’ Rhode Island loft, prepping a small outbound parcel. As I shadow him from the shipping desk to his designated, unmarked cubicle, he’s rushed. He has a lot to do before he’s on the road—again—for 10 days of back-to-back Lightning and J/22 regattas in Florida.
