Brough Superior, founded in 1919, was the so-called Rolls-Royce of Motorcycles, the manufacturer of the world’s fastest, most desirable and most exclusive motorcycles in the pre-WW2 era, of which only 3000 were made before the company ceased production in 1939 with the advent of war, and began making parts for the Rolls-Royce Merlin engines powering the historic Spitfire fighter aircraft.
