THE fallout from the coronavirus began to hit freight companies hard in April, with Freightliner, DB Cargo, GBRf and Colas Rail all stepping down surplus locomotives.
There has also been a loco cull at Freightliner, with 36 locomotives stored in the DHLT pool during April, including the whole Class 70 fleet.
