Allie Aller of Portland, Oregon is an author, speaker, teacher, and award-winning quilter.
The pandemic has brought her home to her studio where, even after 50 years of quilting, she approaches each new quilt with fresh joy.
Debby: How did your education prepare you for quilt making?
Allie: I have a degree in Environmental Analysis from Cornell University, but while I was there, I took a couple of years of very hard-core six-credit design courses. They also had a textile department and I took a weaving course in a gorgeous weaving studio. It was a magical place to go to school.
