BROTHERS Ned and Dylan Govender, who were arrested after the violence in July, will remain in Westville Prison after their bail was denied.
Ned, 30, a mechanical engineer, and Dylan, 29, a graphic designer, appeared in the Verulam Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
They face charges of murder and attempted murder related to the death of Mondli Majola, 19, in Palmview, Phoenix.
Their co-accused, Jeetendra Jaikissioon, died in prison in October allegedly because of hypertension and diabetes complications.
During their bail application, the brothers said they intended on pleading not guilty to the charges. They said they were on chronic medication for asthma and were the only ones who could use the machinery to run their family's signage business.
