Gently bouncing my baby boy in my arms, I sighed.
‘Come on, Colton,’ I cooed. ‘Just try a little bit of milk.’
He was only seven weeks old, and he’d been six weeks premature, too.
I wanted him to build his strength up.
But he was refusing food, and I didn’t know why.
Then Colton started coughing, and it clicked.
My two-year-old, Enzo, had just been diagnosed with bronchitis, and Colton must have caught it off him.
It was hardly surprising. With four older siblings – Kaylum, nine, Bentley, five, De’anna, four, and Enzo – Colton was bound to catch something or other.
It was September last year, and the kids had just started back at school and nursery after the summer holidays.
