If you experience mucositis, it can be treated very effectively and usually gets better on its own. The first protective steps are to drink plenty of fluids, use a very gentle mouthwash regularly and use a soft toothbrush. There are also a range of lozenges, artificial saliva sprays and mouthwashes available to help ease a dry mouth. Speaking to a dietician can also be useful for guidance on what to avoid. YOU WILL NEED: STEP 1 Carefully remove the inner sections of the sideboard doors. Wear eye protection and use a cutting board if necessary, or work outdoors.
