New findings published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings journal shows that fibromyalgia syndrome patients are frequently using cannabis in order to manage their symptoms. In a participant pool of 1,336 fibromyalgia patients from Minnesota, 661 said that they started using cannabis after being diagnosed with the condition, using it to treat pain (98.9%), fatigue (96.2%), stress, anxiety, or depression (93.9%), and insomnia (93.6%). Additionally, 82% of this group said they experience an improvement in pain symptoms, and most respondents said they experienced improvements to stress, anxiety, depression, and insomnia.
