The state of Washington is moving toward banning medicated candies, maybe. In October, the Washington State Liquor and Cannabis Board (LCB) announced that it would put the kibosh on candied edibles, which it says present a dangerous temptation for kids. “Marijuana products that are especially appealing to children are prohibited,” the LCB declared in October. “Products such as, but not limited to, gummy candies, lollipops, cotton candy, or brightly colored products, are prohibited.” The backlash was fairly swift, understandably, as edibles account for 9 percent of the overall cannabis market in Washington.
