The Duke of Cambridge is to champion young people affected by bullying and mental health problems by throwing his weight behind charities that support them. Prince William is keen to support young people struggling with depression, as well as victims of cyberbullying and homophobic bullying. A royal aide revealed last week that, for at least two years, the Duke has been making private visits to meet young people: “He finds that, partly based on his own experiences, he is able to connect deeply with them and have a positive impact.” His wife the Duchess – who was reportedly bullied at school – also works in similar areas. The celebrity pooch, whose Los Angeles-based owner and trainer Omar Von Müller announced Uggie’s death early on Wednesday, died of prostate cancer. “We regret to inform all our friends, family and Uggie’s fans that our beloved boy has passed away,” Omar wrote on his Facebook page. “In short, Uggie is now in a better place not feeling pain. Prince Harry returns to Britain next month after a hugely successful tour of Africa, where his presence has given an unprecedented boost to the wildlife conservation movement. In one dramatic incident, he was reportedly involved in a shoot-out with three poachers on the Crocodile River in South Africa’s Kruger National Park.
