Former pro soccer player Alex Morgan, snowboarder Chloe Kim, swimmer Simone Manuel, and basketball player Sue Bird launched Togethxr in 2021, with a mission to increase media coverage of women's sports. Four years later, the media and commerce brand—which encompasses merch, a production studio, and a podcast network—is demonstrating that women's sports are, in fact, extremely popular with audiences, while telling deeper stories about female athletes.
Jessica Robertson, Togethxr cofounder and chief brand officer, says it's not that women's sports has been behind, “but that culture is finally catching up.” The company sold $6 million worth of merchandise bearing its motto, “Everyone Watches Women's Sports,” in 2024, while growing its social following to 3.5 million across all platforms.
