Staff Reporter THE FOURTH annual Northern Cape Youth Leaders’ Conference for high school pupils was held this week near Upington and recorded the most participants to date.
The conference offered a unique learning opportunity to the Province’s young leaders. At this event pupils honed their leadership skills under the mentorship of experts in the field.
The conference was presented by the youth development centre, Duin in die Weg, along with Stellenbosch University (SU) and took place on the campus of the Academy for Environmental Leadership SA (AEL).
This year, thanks to sponsorship by KLK Landbou Limited, the organisers were able to host 82 learner leaders from 18 schools. The pupils hail from all corners of the Province, including towns such as Alexander Bay, Springbok, Calvinia, and Colesberg.
