I read “Please Don’t Call Me Ma’am,” and honestly, I’m frustrated. My grandfather, who raised me, was a marine, and I was in JROTC. He passed away, but the lessons I learned stuck: I call people “sir” or “ma’am,” even if they’re younger than me.
