The depraved Oxford child sex ring was one of the most disturbing cases of child exploitation ever seen in the UK. MALT LOAF (MAKES 8 SLICES) STEP 1 Line a 500g (1lb) loaf tin with baking parchment. Preheat the oven to 170°C/gas mark 4. STEP 2 Pour 75ml cold tea over 150g raisins and mix well to combine. Tip in 125g self-raising flour, 85g malt extract and 1tbsp treacle, then stir it all into the tea and raisins with 1/4tsp bicarbonate of soda. STEP 3 Pour the mixture into the prepared baking tin and bake for 35 mins until it has risen and feels firm to the touch. Remove from the oven, then cool for 15 mins before taking out of the tin to cool completely before serving. It may sink a little in the centre, but should be cooked and nicely chewy.
