Welcome
The second national lockdown has just started in England as I write this. I’m watching the US election until late into the wee hours and, to me, the world feels battered and shocked. I’ve seen and heard people who are scared, angry and intolerant; others are in various stages of despair. There is, however, a whole tranche of people in my circle who seem to be coping relatively well, and I consider them to be ‘creatives’; potters, artists, crafters, gardeners and cooks, among others. I’m lucky to live somewhere with a bit of space, which meant that during the first lockdown, I could increase my food-growing and start preserving the surplus. Life slowed down for my family and me, and in a way, it got simpler. The social media…
