Linda Bloomfield is a scientist turned potter. Chun, or Jun, glazes are pale blue, opalescent Chinese glazes originally made in northern China in the Song Dynasty (960-1279AD). Sometimes they appear purple where they were brushed with copper oxide. The blue colour is an optical effect similar to the one that makes the sky look blue.…
