There isn’t that many to chose from, so buy the very best you can afford. However, because the Farnham is so rare and so collectable, don’t dismiss a restoration project, just budget appropriately! Fortunately, repair panels, rubbers, chromework, badging and mechanical parts are in good supply. It’s just the Farnham-specific bodywork and trim that has disappeared off the radar.
Look for rust everywhere. Rust prevention treatment was scant at best. Thankfully, the Three Graces were made from decent metal, but this was a ‘Fifties design, with abundant water and moisture traps. Sill, chassis rails and outriggers are particularly prone to rust and are very expensive to get repaired. And, don’t forget, the oldest cars will now be 61-years old.
