Size-14 in my teens, my weight never worried me.
But, heading to Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, aged 18, to study Business Management, I started scoffing stodge.
Sandwiches, chips, kebabs, pizzas, all washed down with fizzy drinks, wine, or cocktails on boozy nights out.
My new lifestyle meant that my waistline expanded to size-18.
Bubbly and happy, I just shrugged it off – until I saw my graduation photos.
The huge robes barely covered my flabby folds.
I tried to bury my feelings and, that July, working part-time at a jeweller’s, I continued eating junk on my breaks.
Three months later, I’d ballooned to 19st and a size-22.
Miserable, I decided to join a local gym, and got a personal trainer, too.
