THERE WILL NOT be a manual or convertible version of the current A110, Alpine’s product performance boss, Sovany Ang, told Autocar, and the stripped-out A110 R will be the final update before the car goes electric in 2025.
Ang said: “Most of the market wants an automatic gearbox. It’s a very, very
small mix of manual so we are not focusing on this here.”
She also ended any debate on whether a convertible version of the A110 would arrive, but didn’t write it off for future Alpine models.
Talking about the current car, she said: “Maybe there will be some nice surprises, evolutions of this life cycle but nothing major.”
