VOLKSWAGEN HAS DETAILED its full range of ID 3 trim levels and prices ahead of it starting to accept orders tomorrow.
The electric hatchback is priced from £29,990 (after the £3000 government grant). That compares with £26,845 for the 168-mile Nissan Leaf and £40,490 for the 267-mile Tesla Model 3 saloon (see p10).
The cheapest trim, Life, gets a 10.0in touchscreen with Discover Pro sat-nav, Car2X technology, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, heated seats, a heated steering wheel, parking sensors and LED headlights.
The basic powertrain uses a 201bhp motor and a 58kWh battery to deliver 0-62mph in 7.3sec and a range of 258-263 miles, depending on spec.
