When Angela Ellerbroek and her family bought the home in 2002, they saw not just what it was—but what it could become. “We knew this was the house we’d be in for the long haul,” Angela shares. WHEN YOU STEP INTO MY HOME during the holidays, you’re greeted by a staircase that’s become one of my favorite spots to decorate. I love filling this little entry nook with layers of vintage charm-flea market treasures I’ve collected over the years, and others that are cherished hand-me-down pieces from family and friends. The old bench with the gingham cushion is always here, but for Christmas, I add a bright red “merry” pillow and a colorful rag rug to set a cheerful tone right from the start.
